This is an exciting time for Musical Offerings! Musical Offerings is the leading professional chamber music organization in San Antonio with exceptionally diverse programming of classical, jazz and contemporary chamber music. Founded in 1983, Musical Offerings brings together the talents of musicians from varied musical environments to create a wide array of programming, concert formats, and musician participation. Because of the broad range of Musical Offerings’ programming and personnel, we have the opportunity to unite our talents with local organizations and participate in special community events.

JAZZ MEETS CLASSICAL AT LUMINARIA
Musical Offerings will feature a 30 minute presentation of its annual blockbuster, Jazz Meets Classical, featuring Joan Carroll, vocalist, between 7:55 PM - 8:25 PM on the Houston Street Stage, at the intersection of Houston St and Ave E, close to the Alamo. Listen to the San Antonio Symphony at 9:00 PM on the Menger Stage nearby.
Come join us as Jazz Meets Classical performs at the exciting Luminaria celebration of San Antonio’s artists, musicians, performers and cultural organizations.

James Scott Balentine
Join us at 7:55 PM as Joan’s pure voice sings arrangements by the venerable James Scott Balentine, and Matthew Dunne, including: I Get a Kick Out of You, Desifinado, Se Fue y No Vuelve Mas, and Jim’s original composition, Terra’s Lullabye.
Artists include: Joan Carroll, vocalist, Joan Christenson, violin, James Balentine, saxophone, Heinz Frommeyer, piano, Matthew Dunne, guitar, Zlatan Redzic, bass, Curtis Calderon, trumpet.

JAZZ MEETS CLASSICAL XVII
Please join us for the seventeenth year of this unique collaboration between jazz and classical musicians as we explore the captivating music of Latin America, with a special focus on the exotic sounds of Cuba.
Featuring Con Alma, Salon Buenos Aires, Wapango, Primavera Portena, A Night in Tunisia and other salsas, milongas, tangos and danzons of Paquito d’Rivera, Miguel del Aguila, Astor Piazzolla, Dizzy Gillespie and others. Three performances with two distinct programs. Programs at the Instituto Cultural de Mexico and the Witte Museum are the same.
